Adam Ali
Piano Teacher
Adam Ali began piano studies at age six with his grandmother, Lalan Parrott, a student of the legendary Rosina Lhevinne. He later joined the Preparatory Division of Mannes College, studying with Irina Edelman, while also attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, graduating from both schools with honors.
Adam earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College under Dr. Donald Pirone. During his studies, he received several awards and presented recital programs featuring works by Bach, Schumann, Brahms, Prokofiev, and others. In 2016, he performed Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor with the Queens College Symphony Orchestra.
Adam has appeared in solo and chamber performances throughout New York City in venues including LeFrak Concert Hall, Steinway Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. He has also performed as a collaborative pianist at Avery Fisher Hall, Weill Recital Hall, and Stern Auditorium/Perlman Stage.
As an instructor, Adam strives to foster a meaningful connection to classical music in each student, a commitment reflected in his active teaching career. He is on the faculty of the Lawrence Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens College, maintains a large private studio and serves as Music Director at Grace Baptist Chapel.
Adam has been a member of the piano faculty at Suzuki on the Island since 2021.
